To him she seemed so beautiful, so seductive, so different from ordinary people, that he could not understand why no one was as disturbed as he by the clicking of her heels on the paving stones, why no one else’s heart was wild with the breeze stirred by the sighs of her veils, why everyone did not go mad with the movements of her braid, the flight of her hands, the gold of her laughter. He had not missed a single one of her gestures, not one of the indications of her character, but he did not dare approach her for fear of destroying the spell.

Instead of looking at the past, I put myself ahead twenty years and try to look at what I need to do now in order to get there then.

Reverse graffiti.
Instead of using actual spray cans some artist are just cleaning dirt off of certain areas to make their masterpieces, and they are calling it reverse graffiti. Kind of brilliant.

[He] stands and says, “Come here,” and he’s on my side of the room in one stride and he claps my hands to his hips and kisses my mouth like I’m the drink he’s been dying for all day, and I’ve heard girls say it’s like melting, that feeling. But I think it’s like rising, growing even taller and seeing sights over a hedge, colors you’ve never seen before.

Freebie of the Day: The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art — which is currently hosting the first museum exhibit dedicated to street art — announced on its blog today that, thanks to an “unprecedented gesture” by featured artist Banksy, admission to the “Art in the Streets” exhibit will be free of charge every Monday from now until the exhibit shuts down on August 8th.
“I don’t think you should have to pay to look at graffiti,” Banksy told the museum. “You should only pay if you want to get rid of it.”

I already know an awful lot of people and until one of them dies I couldn’t possibly meet anyone else.
